The top agricultural scientific research forces in the Netherlands had an in-depth dialogue with domestic smart ranch practices, and the self-developed data management platform of LUISUAN Technology received pragmatic advice from international experts.

On August 27, the Jingwa Center cooperation team and research experts from Wageningen University & Research visited LUISUAN Technology to conduct functional evaluation and exchanges around the dairy data management platform (animal husbandry scientific research project data management system) tailor-made for the Jingwa Center using LUISUAN Technology. The two parties conducted an in-depth discussion for nearly two hours on the platform architecture design, function implementation, implementation path and future research directions, clarifying the pragmatic direction for the next stage of iteration of the platform.

Hard-core architecture has won recognition from international experts

At the communication site, the LUISUAN technical team systematically demonstrated the engineering base of the platform: the distributed microservice architecture supports full-node cluster deployment, and the Kafka message bus carries high-concurrency ranch data flows to avoid single points of failure and data loss; the multi-mode database system (PostgreSQL+MongoDB+Redis+MinIO) covers all types of data storage needs; the front-end React component development, the code is completely independent and controllable, and can respond to customized needs at any time.

In response to the most challenging problem of unique cow identification in the pasture, the platform generates a globally unique ID for each incoming cow, associates ear tags, neck rings and other multi-system identifiers through metadata mapping, and adapts time dimension rules to tag recycling and reuse scenarios to ensure accurate matching of multi-source data. This design has received great attention and recognition from Wageningen experts.

At the meeting, experts suggested that the platform should prioritize small-scale implementation testing from the three mature data sources of feeding, milk production, and carbon emissions, and gradually expand the access scope after running through the entire process. The two parties also reached consensus on issues such as data ownership, body condition score data access verification, and communication tool integration, and agreed to visit again for a follow-up evaluation in October-November this year.

From data base to AI readiness, towards smart ranch ecology

According to the plan, the platform will evolve in stages based on a solid data base: in the second stage, it will implement AI analysis, anomaly detection and trend prediction capabilities; in the more advanced stage, the system will automatically generate weekly reports and research reports, continuously reducing the data processing costs of scientific research and ranch operations. In the future, the platform will also launch an English version to meet the needs of overseas cooperation, and extend from dairy scenarios to multi-species data management such as beef cattle and horticulture. After accessing more pastures, it can achieve cross-pasture comparative analysis with the same standards, support various types of scientific research projects such as breeding and nutrition, and explore the use of economic incentives to build a data ecosystem for healthy collaboration between scientific research and pastures.

At present, the platform has been officially launched in Jingwa Ranch, with the first batch of data accessed to more than 700 cows. From AI storage infrastructure to smart agricultural data platforms, LUISUAN Technology is using an independent and controllable technology stack to allow data to flow efficiently between scientific research and industry.
